Thyroidinum in 6C for regulating thyroid function. Thyroidinum or Thyroid Gland can be safely used in homeopathic potency with your health plan to support thyroid function. Homeopathy works with the body to balance glandular function.
Supplementation or medication may cause glands to become dependent or throw other glands off balance. Homeopathy can be safely used as an adjunct to your health plan. Thyroid Gland 6C provides natural support for your own gland function.

The Thyroid Gland produces hormones vital to maintaining normal metabolism. An imbalance in the thyroid gland can be manifested as weight gain, cold hands and feet, sluggish metabolism, low energy, skin tags, and/or depression.
Kathryn Jones Health Counselor will include free, a short valuable user friendly Dosing Guide. This guide offers tips on how to slowly start dosing, and to slowly increase or decrease dose determined on measurement of symptom improvement.
Organ therapy / Organotherapy / Sarcodes - refer to homeopathic potency of organs or glands to support and regulate the organs and glands of the body. Organ therapy is effective in helping the body function in a healthy balanced manner. The idea of organ therapy was promoted in the 1800's by Constantine Hering M.D. Homeopathy supports the function of the organ by improving absorption of enzymes and certain nucleic acids lacking in the organ.

Organotherapy, the use of Sarcodes works on the premise that:
1. A homeopathic gland acts upon its corresponding gland.
2. Potencies such as 6C balance, support and regulate the function of the corresponding gland or organ.

The thyroid gland is a butterfly-shaped gland in the neck. The thyroid gland produces thyroxin and triiodothyronine that control metabolism. HYPOthyroidism is underfunctioning of the thyroid and is due to a condition of underactive thyroid gland function. Hypothyroidism can produce a variety of symptoms. 47 clinically recognized symptoms are listed for Hypothyroidism, including fatigue, depression, weakness, weight gain, cold extremities, infertility, menstrual pain and problems, frequent colds, eczema, psoriasis, acne, dry skin, migraines, sleepiness, muscle aches, hearing disturbances, anemia, physical fatigue, mental fatigue, brittle nails.

Here are some ways to determine a low functioning thyroid:
1) A resting basal temperature rate below 97.8 degrees can be a helpful indicator of hypothyroidism. Take your basal temperature under the arm first thing in the morning, prior to any movement.
2) Do you have continual problems with 2 or more of the following:
weight gain
frequently tired
depressed or moody
constipated
dry skin or hair; brittle nails
hair loss
feeling cold when others don’t
low sex drive
infertility or recurrent miscarriage
forgetfulness
painful or erratic periods
3) Check for an enlarged thyroid gland. Hold a mirror in one hand and focus on the area below your Adam’s apple and above your collarbone. Tip your head back and take a drink of water. As you swallow, look for any bulges. A goiter can be caused by too little iodine in the diet and tests are needed to determine if hyperthyroid or hypothyroid is present.

Reasons for an underactive thyroid gland are varied including toxicity, genetic factors, and hormones. Thyroid problems strike women seven times more often than men, and hypothyroidism frequently surfaces during periods of hormonal fluctuations, such as during or after pregnancy, or as a woman enters menopause.
When the thyroid becomes underactive, the symptoms that result can be mistaken for a host of other medical complaints. “Women suffering from hypothyroidism typically feel tired & depressed, and often struggle with stubborn weight problems, “says Mary Shomon, author of Living Well with Hypothyroidism(HarperCollins, 2000). “Women-and their doctors-are more likely to blame stress, diet or hormones than an underactive thyroid.”

Thyroidinum/Thyroid Gland is offered as complementary alternative medicine (CAM). According to the government’s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), 38% of adults use complementary medicine. Integrative Medicine combines conventional and CAM treatments for which there is evidence of safety and effectiveness (http://nccam.nih.gov/health/whatiscam/). There are no contraindications to homeopathy, making homeopathy an ideal adjunct to your health plan.
